Paternity Outsourcing

Outsourcing of paternity testing is a service for authorized experts in the field of paternity determination who do not own laboratory equipment for molecular genetic testing.

GENERI BIOTECH provides laboratory testing of samples (of the original biological material or isolated DNA). Finished results are provided to the authorized expert, which he/she then includes in his/her expert opinion.

Test types

Samples are subjected to genotype analysis of amplified STR polymorphic DNA segments based on the principle of capillary electrophoresis, on ABI PRISM devices.

GENERI BIOTECH provides 3 types of analyses:

Genotype analysis of autosomal polymorphisms - 15 autosomal polymorphisms + 1 to detect the sex are analyzed as standards using ABI Multiplex kit
Genotype analysis of Y-bound polymorphisms - 16 Y-polymorphisms are analyzed as standard to demonstrate inheritance in the male line using ABI Y-plex kit
Genotype analysis of X-bound polymorphisms - 12 X-polymorphisms are analyzed as standard to demonstrate inheritance in the female line using our own systems developed at GENERI BIOTECH

Terms of delivery

Results of genotype analysis of autosomal polymorphisms and Y-polymorphisms are dispatched via e-mail within 5 working days upon receipt of your samples. Results of genotype analysis of X-polymorphisms are dispatched via e-mail within 15 working days upon receipt of your samples.

Documentation of the results (for all test types) is delivered to the client, which contains:

ABI PRISM analysis record for evaluation in the SW Genemapper
Table that provides evaluation of the analysis of individual runs in Genemapper
Clearly arranged table with the results of the entire case (to be copied to the expert opinion) together with incidence frequencies of the alleles found in the population.

Requirements for the materials

The client shall provide materials to be tested:

1. Isolated DNA - in this case, it is necessary that the client verifies its quality and quantity

2. Non-isolated DNA (non-coagulating blood, buccal smears)
