Mycoplasma Detection in Cell Cultures

We provide testing of eukaryotic cell lines for the presence of all mycoplasma species from the culture media in a very short time.

Mycoplasmas are the smallest and simplest prokaryotes. They are causal agents of numerous diseases of animals and humans and may also cause annoying contaminations in eukaryotic cell cultures. The presence of mycoplasmas in cellular lines may significantly influence the results of experiments because mycoplasmas may:

• affect the cell growth rate
• induce morphological changes
• induce chromosomal aberrations
• affect amino and nucleic acids metabolism
• induce cell transformation
• affect molecular transport through the cell membrane.

Terms of delivery

The results of testing are dispatched via e-mail in the PDF format, by fax or post, within 5 working days upon receipt of the sample. In urgent cases, the results can be dispatched within 24 hours upon prior agreement. In such a case, 10% fee is charged in addition to the price.
