Quality Control of Competent Bacteria E. coli

Quality control is performed in every delivery before its shipment to the customer.

Transformation is performed with 10 pg and 100 pg of pUC19 control DNA using 100 µl aliquots of bacterial suspension following the standard transformation protocol. Subsequently, the bacteria are plated on LB agar plates containing 100 µg/ml ampicillin. Transformation efficacy is expressed as the number of colonies related to 1 µg of pUC19.
