Advanced OptionsMY OLIGO code can be modified retroactively for future use, as well. Retroactive modification of MY OLIGO code can be done in a way so that the user finds all his or her oligos under the correct code in the MY OLIGO search engine. Changes for future use allow for using the search engine options, provided that oligos ordered in the future enter the search engine with a code that conforms to the rules as agreed. Principle of retroactive MY OLIGO code modification: This modification can be performed in the software mode, in our control program with the oligo database, where the original code (code to be removed) is replaced by the new code (active code) in all oligos with the original code. For this change to appear in MY OLIGO on the web, such modified records must be reuploaded to the web. One limitation is connected with such changes: The current oligo database contains records back to a certain date only. Older records are stored in the archive where they can be searched for; however, code replacement operations cannot be performed with them unlike the current records. Therefore this page includes a three-digit code of the oligo and the date before which no retroactive changes of MY OLIGO code can be performed. This three-digit code and date changes to a higher value after subsequent archiving of the records (2 times a year).
Most frequent situations when MY OLIGO code modification is required:Situation 1: Multiple delivery addresses are used and you have obtained a new MY OLIGO code for each. You want to change all MY OLIGO codes to a single one.
Situation 2: You got married and changed your name. Upon placement of your first order using the new name, you will probably obtain a new code for MY OLIGO, as it is often not possible to recognize the change. As soon as you realize that you have multiple codes, you will want to apply a single (original) code for MY OLIGO to all your oligos, both retroactively and for the future.
Situation 3: Members of one team want to integrate their MY OLIGO codes to form a single one, both retroactively and for the future.
Situation 4: The whole team wants to have a new code for MY OLIGO for a new project, with "all to everything" type of access. Oligos ordered by the same persons for other purposes than for the new project will bear their original codes.
Present general limitations:Three-digit oligo code starting from which retroactive changes of the MY OLIGO code can be performed: 490 (for example: 490E2*)
