Chromatograms of oligo 5' CAGAGCAAGACTTCATCT 3' labeled with fluorescein in the 5' end. In the left figure, there is a chromatogram based on detection by UV light (l = 260 nm); in the right figure, there is a chromatogram based on detection by visible light (l = 480 nm). In visible light, the left peak disappers as it is a fraction of unlabeled oligo whereas the peak on the right side is present in visible light as well - it is a fraction of oligonucleotide with molecule of fluorescein.
