Oligonucleotides and Probes

GENERI BIOTECH has been engaged in synthesis of oligonucleotides since its establishment in 1995.Currently, we are the only commercial producer of oligonucleotides in the Czech Republic and the spectrum of our oligo products and probes is comparable to other foreign companies offers GENERI BIOTECH produces approximately 15,000 oligos and probes yearly for customers in the Czech Republic and in surrounding countries. Over last two years (2008 and 2009, respectively) we have not received any oligo- or probe-related warranty claims.

In the course of the recent years, the standard of our production as well as customer support was enhanced considerably in several steps. In 2006, GENERI BIOTECH was certified for ISO 9001 without exclusions (i.e. all processes are certified) and new oligo synthesis technology was purchased. In 2007, the new technology MALDI-TOF was introduced for routine analyses of synthesized oligonucleotide quality, and finally, in 2008, the high-throughput oligo processing process was finished.

Together with launching the new website in February 2009, a new pricelist of oligos and probes was introduced, which not only maintains the principles of the existing pricelist but provides even more preferential prices to larger purchase orders and regular customers.

As GENERI BIOTECH performs its own research (and thus we ourselves are users of our own oligos and probes) and order-based research, we not only have feedback on quality of the products but we are also ready to consult methodological problems that any of our customers may have. We can satisfy even highly specific synthesis requirements.

Introducing MY OLIGO database in 2001, it was impossible to imagine how greatly popular it would become. It is our plan to innovate the database even further in the new editorial system used to run this website, and to utilize capacities offered by the database. The website is our dominant information, marketing and sales tool.
