Quantitative PCR

GENERI BIOTECH has been engaged in applying quantitative PCR in practice for many years. We have gradually overcome numerous pitfalls, consisting not only in the design of primers with optimum parameters, but especially in variants of the method for various applications that require different ways of approach. The solutions offered by us for quantifying gene expression are based on real-time PCR with hydrolyzation probes.

In the field of quantification of gene expression, ready-made solutions in the form of qPCR sets or design and optimization of custom-made qPCR sets are offered to our customers. Cloned standards for qPCR are offered for the purpose of absolute quantification of gene expression. Based on individual agreement with the customer, complex service for quantification of gene expression is also offered; meaning that all the steps necessary to obtain the results of relative or absolute quantification of gene expression are performed.

Real-time PCR has found significant application also in detection of pathogens, especially thanks to its rapidity and specifity. When detecting pathogens, it is very important to distinguish false negativity of the samples from really negative samples. For this purpose, internal positive controls are offered in order to increase the informative value of the customer's examinations.
