Probes - Specific Product Information

Form of delivery

Probes are delivered in a dry condition, in 2 ml tubes. The probes are supplied as a sodium salt in a biologically active form. Together with the oligonucleotide, a shipping card is delivered which contains probe parameters and diluting instructions. Oligo quantity is determined using US spectrophotometry expressed in nanomoles, optical units and micrograms.

Supplied quantity:

• Dual Labelled Probes: 1 nmol (only FAM), 5 nmol, 10 nmol and 50 nmol.
• Mono Labelled Probes: 1 nmol and 5 nmol

The probes are purified by means of chromatography, thus the resulting product contains pure oligonucleotide in the quantity as ordered.

Storage recommendation for the probes

It is recommended to divide the probes into aliquot parts upon dilution and to keep them at -20°C. The probes are susceptible to light; they must thus be kept in the dark upon delivery. Short-time work in lighted environment does not harm the probes.
