gb GENETIC SRY
Detection method:
quantitative real-time PCR
This kit is intended for detection of the specific section of the SRY gene which is located on the Y chromosome in the human genomic DNA. Detection is based on quantitative realtime polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) using fluorescently labelled probes.
Clinical implications of the RUO kit
The quantification of human DNA is significant especially in the field of forensic analysis. The SRY gene is located on the short arm of human chromosome Y in the position 11.3. This gene encodes a transcription factor that binds to specific region of protein. This protein called „sex-determining region Y“ is the testis-determining factor, which initiates male sex determination.
Parameters of the real-time PCR diagnostic kit
- ready-to-use assay
