Detection method: one-step real-time PCR

This in vitro diagnostic kit enables the quantitative determination of the copy number ratio of the e19a2 (c3a2) transcript of the BCR-ABL1 fusion gene to the copy number of the ABL1 reference gene transcript.

Clinical implications of the CE IVD kit

The BCR-ABL1 fusion gene in the rare MICRO variant occurs in patients with chronic neutrophilic leukemia (CML-N). Patient response to treatment as well as minimal residual disease is monitored by quantification of BCR-ABL1 transcript relative to control gene transcript (ABL1).
