Today, we commemorate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. While global statistics continue to highlight unequal representation in technical fields, here in Hradec Králové we are writing a very different story — a story in which expertise, molecular biology, and innovation bear women’s names in 89% of cases.
This important day, observed on February 11, was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. Its objective is to ensure equal access for women and girls to education and scientific careers and to eliminate barriers in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
When examining the data, it is evident that the potential of women in Czech science often remains underutilized.
At GENERI BIOTECH, we move against national and global statistical trends. Currently, 89% of our employees are women. This is not the result of quotas, but rather the natural evolution of a modern biotechnology company that prioritizes talent and precision.
