We carry out syntheses of the most commonly used probes (TaqMan ® probes), FRET probes used in a pair, and GEMINI probes which use a quencher located inside the chain. All probes are purified by HPLC (purification price is included in the probe price).
Dual-labeled hydrolysis probes The technology of dual-labeled hydrolysis probes (also called TaqMan® real-time PCR probes) exploits the 5 ́-3 ́ exonuclease activity of Taq DNA polymerase to cleave the probe. TaqMan real-time PCR probes are labeled with a fluorescent dye (reporter) at the 5´ end and with a quencher at the 3´ end.
Single-labeled hybridization probes – FRET probes The system of single-labeled probes (also called FRET probes - Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) consists of a pair of probes, the former is labeled with donor fluorophore (3´FAM) at the 3 ́ end, the latter is labeled with acceptor fluorophore (5´CFR 610 or 635) at the 5 ́ end. The probes are designed to hybridize to the PCR target adjacent to each other. The probes are HPLC purified (no additional fee).
GEMINI™ probes GEMINI™ probes are a type of TaqMan real-time PCR probe developed in GENERI BIOTECH. The technology of GEMINI is based on placing internal quenchers into the probe sequence which results in stronger quenching and lower background signal. The probes are HPLC purified (no additional fee).
