Detection method: one-step real-time PCR

This in vitro diagnostic kit enables the quantitative determination of the copy number ratio of the e1a2 transcript of the BCR-ABL1 fusion gene to the copy number of the ABL1 reference gene transcript.

Clinical implications of the CE IVD kit

The BCR-ABL1 fusion gene in the rare MINOR variant occurs in patients with chronic myeoloid leukemia (CML) and Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Patient response to treatment as well as minimal residual disease is monitored by quantification of BCR-ABL1 transcript relative to control gene transcript (ABL1).

Parametres of the real-time PCR diagnostic kit

  • detection in the FAM (BCR-ABL1) channel and HEX (ABL1) channel
  • calibrating panel of standards and no template control included

gb Easy PCR Master Mix consists of hot-start Taq DNA polymerase, reaction buffer, dNTP and MgCl2. The Taq polymerase is chemically modified DNA polymerase from Thermus aquaticus. This polymerase is completely inactive at room temperature but it is rapidly activated during the initial denaturation step of PCR. The product falls into a group of TaqMan Real-Time PCR Master Mixes to provide probe-based qPCR.
